British Values

At St Andrew’s Primary School, we are committed to prepare our children for life in modern Britain We incorporate the fundamental British Values of tolerance and respect within the ethos and life of the school.

All curriculum areas provide a channel for furthering the development of these concepts.  In particular,  Religious Education (RE), and Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) lessons that explore Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural issues as well as Citizenship provide excellent opportunities to deepen and develop understanding of the British Values.  Children are taught to embrace these concepts with enthusiasm and demonstrate a good understanding of their application in their own lives.  Our Intrinsic and Christian Values ensure our children have an understanding that gives them the platform for embracing difference.

Mutual respect and the tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs
